Online support

 

 

Support for severe and long-standing concerns about emotional well-being and behaviours. The service also provides consultation, assessment and therapy for looked after and adopted children, and children on Special Guardianship Orders.

For children/young people of pre-school years up to 16 years of age, (or up to 18 years of age if still in school) suffering from:

  • Moderate to severe depression
  • Moderate to severe anxiety
  • Eating disorders including anorexia and bulimia nervosa
  • Significant attachment / relationship difficulties that are significantly affecting mental health
  • Moderate to severe or persistent obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Assessment of ADHD and Autism (over the age of 7 for autism)
  • Early Intervention Psychosis
  • Persistent thoughts of self-harm and suicidal ideation

Childline is a free, confidential service that provides support to children and young people in the UK. It's run by the NSPCC and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

What Childline offers

    The Childline website provides information and advice on a variety of topics.

    You can have a 1-2-1 chat with a Childline counsellor online. 

  • Deaf Zone

    Childline has a Deaf Zone with services and resources for children and young people who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing. 

  • Support

    Childline counsellors are trained to listen, empower, and safeguard young people. They can help with a range of issues, including bullying, mental health, relationships, and more.
