Friday 10th July
As it is the penultimate week before the summer holidays, I just wanted to say a huge shout out to everyone in 5 Green. It has been an extraordinary year and you have all demonstrated resilience, courage and kindness during this time. I’ve been hearing that many of you have found innovative ways to keep in touch with friends and relatives, working hard, sharing with siblings and helping your adults around the house. I have felt very proud of you and the way you have represented our school during lockdown.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
5 Blue have been particularly courageous and resilient, having a change of teacher isn’t easy and I always enjoy talking to the other teachers at Clayton about 5 Blue as we’re all very proud of how you’ve all dealt with the transition and the pandemic. There are so many super stars in the class who have kept on working hard, posted on the blog, and completed every task set on our learning platform and Ed Shed. You’ve been truly phenomenal.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This week, the wonderful Diya M deserves a huge shout out for getting in touch and showing us her answers to the inference questions posted this week. I always enjoy reading your responses which are so thoughtful and well structured! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I would like to shout out to the fantastic Payton in 5G for trying her absolute best during lock down to keep on learning and keep on achieving high standards!

Friday 19th June
I would like to shout out to Thomas in 5 Green. It is evident that he has been working so hard at home and has shown that he is disciplined and motivated. Two characteristics that are sure to get him far in life.
Jessie in 5 Blue has also demonstrated her desire to achieve great things in life by working hard at home. I was very impressed by the list of areas of learning that Jessie has been working hard on showing, that she is resilient and dedicated to achieving her absolute best. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I would like to shout out to Quinn who has been keeping learning going at home and doing very well in his maths. It isn't easy to start lessons later in the day than usual but he's been working hard with mum and dad as teachers!

I would like to shout out to Aimee. Aimee is a very diligent learner who always strives to do her best every lesson and this fantastic attitude has continued throughout this period of home learning too. Aimee has been working through her tasks at home and has demonstrated a mature attitude and has proven to be a real Independent Izzy! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I would like to shout out to the fabulous Cara Mae who has been working really hard at home on her maths, writing and science. I was so pleased to hear that she had got into a routine and was reading stories and memorising times tables too! We’ll done Cara Mae. Virtual elbow bumps to you.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

A massive shout out to the amazing Emelia in 5 Green who has been taking as much care and pride in her learning at home as what she does in school! Emelia is a keen reader and a massive Tom Gates fan.She has been answering comprehension questions at home and I know from speaking to mum that she’s been working very hard. Well done! 👏🏽
A big shout out to Anika in 5 Blue for working hard on her maths and english. It's lovely when children share things on the blog so we can keep in touch so thank you Anika for sharing your work.

I would like to shout out to Ruby in 5 Green. Ruby has worked incredibly hard to ensure that learning continues despite not being in school. She has produced very high quality maths and writing during her time at home. She’s taken the time to upload her master pieces onto our blog and my heart has burst with pride when I read them. Well done Ruby for reminding us that learning can take place anywhere in the world if you’re determined enough to make it happen!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I would like to shout out the the phenomenal super human that is Alex in 5 Green. After having a wonderful conversation with Alex’s mum, it became apparent that the fortitude, resilience and maturity he’s shown during this time must be commended. He’s kept on top of his learning, making posters, undertaking projects and practising his timestables. A big well done to Alex! 👏🏽
