English - Find the Defintions

Maths: converting length

PSHCE: cut out the statements and put them into the correct boxes

Science

Starter: Try learn these 4 words and their definitions, can you come up with some actions for them to help you remember? You could share these on the blog. Although we are unable to do magnets whilst we’re not in school, it will be good for you to get to know the vocabulary.

magnetic force

A power that pulls materials together.

magnet

a rock or a piece of metal that can pull certain types of metal toward itself

contact force

forces in which two or more objects or bodies touch or contact each other directly

non-contact force

force which acts on an object without coming physically in contact with it.

Task: Skittle run

Use the bottles you have been collecting to make bowling pins. You will need a ball (again you can make one!) and the task is to use different materials for the ball to roll along to knock over the bottles. You could even try this outside and use different surfaces in your garden.

Have a go then at writing up the investigation. You can use the investigation sheet I’ve attached or write up your own.
