Today, we are going to see if we know what each of our words are.
Follow the instructions below. Pick 5 of the words, write the word and draw what it is.
Read through our text this week about Lighthouses.
Find and underline any words that you are unsure of. Ask a grown up to help you or look them up.
Today, draw a story map to show me what happens at each part of your story.
- Who are your characters?
- Where do they go?
- What happens to their food?
- How do they solve their problem?
Use the story board below to help you with some ideas.
Remember to use your own character and setting ideas from yesterday!
How did you find the doubles?
What did you do?
Remember, doubling is adding the same number again.
Today, we are going to look again at adding.
What do you know about these numbers?
If you look carefully you will see a number bond to 10.
We know that 5+5 = 10.
This makes it a little easier.
Now, we can put 10 on the number line and add on the 6
10 + 6 = 16
5 + 6 + 5 = 16
Use this to help you with the questions below.
In this lesson, we will revisit the Colour Monster story, and discuss how the monster felt better by sorting his feelings into jars. We will discuss worries that some children have and suggest ways to overcome them. We will then create our own thought stopping strategies.
