Hello Year 6 Green

It is me, Mrs Corcoran.

I just want to start by saying that I am really sorry that I haven’t been able to come into school over the past few weeks. This was due to an operation that I had to have in the holidays. Whilst I have been recovering, I have been keeping in touch with teachers and supporting them by planning your lessons from home so I know exactly what you have been learning about.smiley I am missing you all and I am super proud of the results everyone achieved last week in the practice SAT tests- you are all amazing.yes

I know from speaking to teachers that you have all shown great resilience and continued to work hard in my absence and I have loved hearing about the progress you have made. Since September, you have always shown great positivity, a love for learning and an eagerness to improve so I hope that this continues through your home learning.

I know the world right now seems very strange, with many schools closing and our normal daily routines disrupted but this happening across the country, all to protect as many people as possible in this difficult time.  We will all work together to get the best out of this situation by supporting one another. I am here, on my computer, for everyone of you. Miss Riley and I will be planning daily lessons for you to use at home and you will all be able to keep in contact with me through the class blog-I can't wait to hear from you all.

You have been a delight to teach this year and I hope that it won’t be long before we are reunited back in the classroom. Stay positive and let’s look after each other and our families at this difficult time.

Mrs C smiley

Hello 6 Blue,

I know it’s a very strange time for you all, with not everyone in school and being at home instead. This is happening across the country, all to protect as many people as possible. I know how mature you have all been towards this situation and I know you are all doing your best to keep everyone safe too. Make sure you stay positive during these times and show kindness to everyone. Remember if you have any worries it always helps to speak to a loved one.

I am so proud of everything you have all achieved so far in Year 6 and you should all be proud of yourselves too. I know that you are all keen learners who will be doing your best to continue your learning at home. I hope you are all enjoying the home learning packs and that you have been using them to keep busy. Every week Mrs Corcoran and I will be uploading tasks to the website for you to use to continue your learning. Don’t forget to spend time enjoying what you like to do as well as working: whether that’s reading in your pyjamas or enjoying the extra time on your Xbox!

I can’t wait to hear about all the fantastic things you have been doing. You can share these on the blog so we can keep in touch with each other. You are an absolute joy to teach and I am sad that we can’t be together at the moment, but remember it is to keep us all safe. I am missing you all and I can’t wait to welcome you all back to school!

Speak soon,

Miss Riley
