Phonics

Take a look at the picture below.  Look at each word, say it in your head, cover it and then write it.

Remember to check your spelling after each go.

Guided Reading

In Science we are learning about the different habitats of animals and what they need.

In Guided reading we are looking at an information (non-fiction) text about amphibians.

For today, have a look through the text and read this.

Underline each word that you are unsure of or find tricky.  Then look this work up or ask a grown up to help you find out what it means.

English

As I know you really enjoyed the English last week, we are going to continue with this learning using the online video.

Watch the video and follow through with the questions.  If you need to pause the video at any point to take a little more time that is fine.

In this lesson, we are going to be finding the meaning of words from Chapter Two of The Firework Maker’s Daughter. We will be reading pages 25-30. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.

Maths

In today's lesson we are going to be looking at patterns.

Can you remember what a pattern is?

How would you describe a pattern?

Watch the video below to help you describe what a pattern is.

You are going to start today's lesson with a quiz. This will see what you already know about patterns using shapes.

Then, when you have done this, click next (at the very bottom of the screen) to watch the video explaining how to see the patterns using shapes.
