Measuring

This week we are going to start looking at measuring. 

See if you can find any measuring tools in your house (ruler, tape measure, tablet app).

• What do they measure in? (cm, mm, inch)
• Where do they start? ( 0, 1, 2)
• Can you find a tool that measures centimetres (cm) and starts at 0?

To get us started, watch the video below.  This will show you how to use a ruler to measure the length of an object. 

Remember...... Start at the 0.

Using a measuring tool in your house, I would like you to find some objects that you can measure. 

Place the object along the ruler ( starting at 0 ) and see if you can measure how 'long' the object is. 

Remember, you are measuring the length one side. 

Put some pictures on the blog of your measuring and tell me what measurement you got.
