Y6 Leavers Activities
I hope you are all well and keeping safe.
Myself and Miss Riley have been busy thinking of ideas to celebrate ‘Year 6 Leavers 2020’. In normal circumstances, we would use this half term to plan and prepare church leavers services and an ‘end of primary school performance’ for parents to watch. Obviously, this is not possible this year, however we want to make sure that we still celebrate the occasion.
Our idea is to make a montage of images taken form a series of photographs and video clips where children will be able to contribute to, from where ever they are learning from. We are hoping to then upload the videos on to the school website so that everyone can see.
If your child would like to take part in the videos, they need to complete the three tasks below.
Task 1- Root through your old photos and find a photo of you from your first year in school and one from Year 6. These could be your school photographs or any others in your school uniform. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any, any photos of you at these ages would work. These will then be put on to a slideshow to show how much you have grown.
Task 2- Film a short 5-10 second clip of you saying what your favourite memory was at Clayton St John. These could be based around any year in school. We are hoping to then join them altogether to make a movie.
Task 3- Take 3 different photographs of yourself from home during lock down. Show everyone what you have been getting up to. We will then put all of these together.
Once your child, has completed all three tasks then please attach your photographs and videos to an email and add your child’s name.
If you are happy for your child’s image and video to be included on the video, then uploaded to the website, please can you also email written consent like below:
I give permission for (Child’s full name) image/video to be used on the Year 6 Leavers videos and uploaded to the school website.
